The Crystal Prince

Logline: In the enchanted kingdom of Celestria, life seems to be picture perfect, until the charming and pure Prince Xabian vanishes… Many years pass while the Ganthites hold him captive, tormenting and tearing down the spirit of our young Prince, or so that is what they thought… Through the mystical love and transcendent guidance of his love, Jenevieve, the mighty heart of Prince Xabian proves to be more than they bargained for as he transforms and inspires the once-evil troll people. As sacrifice and salvation become synonymous, Prince Xabian and Jenevieve meet with destiny as they demonstrate and define the healing power of love…

Act I

Once upon a magical time, in a magnificent and mystical kingdom called Celestria, there lived two handsome and gifted brothers, the elder of the two; Gantyran was destined to be King. In Celestria, there was but one law; to love one another and treat others as you would want to be treated. However on the day of the coronation, the King with his great wisdom crowned the younger brother, Xanthian King instead, much to everyone’s surprise. Intrinsically, the old and wise King knew that his younger son held the purest of hearts to righteously and honorably lead their people to greatness, while Gantyran possessed a blackened heart, which would surely and swiftly lead the kingdom and its people to their demise.

Overcome by what he determines as deception and disloyalty, Gantyran swears to execute both revenge and redemption by plotting to overturn, overthrow and overtake Celestria and do away with the new King, his brother, Xanthian.

On a dark and stormy night, Gantyran and his league of followers descend upon the kingdom, evil is amid the clan. Blood is spilled in a frenzy of terror and tumult. As Gantyran earnestly attempts to assassinate his own flesh and blood, Xanthian doesn’t have the heart to reciprocally inflict the same sort of pain upon his older brother, and can only seek to defend his own existence.

The two violently scuffle; one to kill, the other to not be killed. As they go round and round in a flurry of skillful, sword induced balletic movements; they kick & punch, sweep & slice. Whirling about, they both eventually fatigue & fumble, then crash & collide like a clash of titans in an epic battle of good versus evil. Exhausted and almost extinguished, Xanthian emerges the victor as he repentantly throws his older brother faced down onto the ground.

Lying bruised and beaten, Gantyran glares into a shimmering pool of water. Gasping to breath, he bemoans at his reflection. Dropping his sword, he shrieks and screams. He is now a beast; a hairy, horned, wart-faced troll beast.

Shortly after the bloody siege and ensuing restoration, King Xanthian weds his dearly betrothed, vowing to teach by principle, to live and to love by example, ruling the flourishing, peaceful Celestria until his serene passing decades later.

Celestria continues to grow and thrive under the family reign, reveling in the intoxicating principle of love for over a thousand years.

Act II

Many, many years later…

The long-awaited birth of a baby boy, a boy who’s destiny will determine the fate of all.

Celebration is in the air. The charming and chaste, Prince Xabian is heir to the throne. He is the youngest of three in the Celestria kingdom rule. Born with a hole in his heart, he is saved by the healing crystals from Mount Terraminjemma, a knowledge given to his mother prior to his birth. Xabian wholly and healthfully blooms despite his ailment and is an innocuous, happy, loving and intelligent boy who is loved by all. Although only a mere 12, he is numinously in love with the beautiful and mystical Jenevieve, a kingdom commoner. The soul mates have forever and eternally entwined themselves like two parts of a greater whole.

Fleeced of his childhood, he’s abducted by the evil troll people the Ganthites. Xabian spends many years held captive by this iniquitous, mean spirited lot. At first he is kept as a slave, tortured and tossed into an abysmal, hell-like existence, then as the weeks, months and years pass, he is held in awe as he slowly casts upon the ugly trolls, a heart-melting currency of kindness, decency, compassion, understanding, friendship and love.

The ceaseless search continues with a vicious voracity as Xabian’s father, the good King Xarius and his loving mother, Queen Aurelia never lose faith.

With each passing year, Xabian weakens, further losing his vitality, spirit and nearly his mortality. If not for the divine inspiration of his souls love, Jenevieve and the pillow containing the magic healing crystals, he is sure to meet his end.

Recognizing Xabian will perish, his throng of newly devoted followers, the reborn and transformed Ganthites hasten to deliver Xabian back to where he belongs, back to where the purest of love dwells, Celestria.

Act III

Returning home a man of nearly 18, absolutely unrecognizable and teetering on the edge of life and death, Xabian is hurried to the castle by the troll tribe where all of Celestria yearningly await.

Upon his homecoming and scarcely clinging to life, Xabian is comforted by his mother, Queen Aurelia, while King Xarius at Xabian’s request beckons for the also ailing Jenevieve. Believing he was in possession of his pillow the whole time, the dying Xabian is informed by Queen Aurelia that neither the pillow, nor the crystals ever left the castle and that his faith and pure heart had solely sustained him all those years.

Through the years and the tears and the heart-sickened sorrow, Jenevieve’s genuine and longing heart is what had given Xabian the courage to live, while she had lain dying for nearly all of 5 years.

As both lie side by side as one, adorned and enshrined by the crystals, Jenevieve reaches over to kiss her beloved and a single tear drops to his lips, miraculously igniting loves healing power once again. The magical, miraculous teardrop contained all that is necessary, all that is right; restoring, reviving and healing both Xabian and Jenevieve back to perfect health.

Xabian proclaims his love to Jenevieve asking for her hand in marriage, excitedly and enthusiastically she accepts. King Xarius declares a lush and luxuriant wedding on the morrow.

As the tension dissipates, King Xarius demands answers from Xabian’s captors, insisting on knowing precisely who is to blame for taking his precious progenitor. The now transformed and humbled Ganthor accepts both complete responsibility and accountability for the wicked deed, while Xabian proclaims blamelessness and innocence to and for all the Ganthites, whom all now fully exhibit a whole and refined human appearance. King Xarius absorbs the fullness of their story and finally of the kindness bestowed upon his son and issues clemency for them all.

Upon the morn of the breathtakingly brilliant and beautiful ceremony, the ever-evil Fouldor appears to exact and exercise his vengeance on each and every one for the thousand years of denounced exile. Ganthor, pleas mercifully to his brother to stop, to feel compassion and to soak in loves soothing radiance, but Fouldor is deaf to his words, unwilling to listen, or to speak, for as he in his vile impiety has wholly retained the cast and characteristics of a troll beast.

For what seems like days, Fouldor and Ganthor fight over Prince Xabian and in the fight of all fights, Ganthor blinds his depraved brother.  Passionately, Xabian attempts to heal the impious Fouldor with the magic crystals, but they possess no healing power over such a malevolent, nefarious heart.

Xarius animatedly affirms and asserts that love, simply love is the only way.

A bountiful & beautiful wedding takes place and life is sublimely superb in Celestria…

…or is it?
